Client: Mr. Omar Al-Farsi, Drilling Operations Manager, an oilfield services company in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Challenge: The client's drilling operations faced high fluid loss and poor mud stability in high-temperature, high-salinity well conditions, causing increased drilling costs and reduced operational efficiency.

Solution: We supplied oilfield-grade PAC (Polyanionic Cellulose) and worked with the client's drilling fluid engineers to optimize the mud formulation, improving fluid loss control, viscosity stability, and salt tolerance for their demanding downhole conditions.

Results:

1. 1. Fluid loss reduced by approximately 60%, significantly improving wellbore stability.

2. 2. Temperature tolerance improved to 150°C, suitable for deep and high-temperature wells.

3. 3. Mud system stability enhanced in saltwater and calcium-rich formations.

4. 4. The solution has been adopted as the standard drilling fluid additive across the client's operations.

"Drilling in our high-salinity formations used to mean constant fluid loss and mud problems. Since we started using their PAC, our mud systems have been far more stable — even at high temperatures. The fluid loss control is excellent, and their team understood our well conditions right away. This has become our go-to product for demanding wells."
